Whole Life Insurance
Whole life is a type of permanent life insurance. Rather than covering you for a part of your life, whole life will cover you for your entire life with guaranteed cash value accumulation, as long as you keep up the premiums.
Participating in whole life insurance provides the potential to receive dividends, which are determined annually but are not guaranteed. However, MassMutual® has paid them every year since 1869.
Whole life also provides a combination of protection and offers guaranteed:
- death benefit
- level premiums
- cash value accumulation
MM Group Whole Life Insurance also includes:
- Higher short-term premium cost for greater long-term value
- May use dividend option to increase death benefit at no additional cost
- Permanent coverage regardless of change in employment or retirement, although out-of-pocket the premium may increase if employer payment of premiums ends
- Guaranteed cash value for a lifetime, which increases over time and is not affected by market changes
- Automatically includes Chronic Care Benefit
- Provides a portion of death benefit if the insured has a qualified chronic illness

Pet Insurance
Pets are members of the family too. When your pet gets sick, bills can add up faster than expected. Pet insurance prevents you from needing to weigh your pet’s health against your bank account. Most plans cover costs associated with accidents and illnesses—even medications. This pet insurance benefit is offered through Pet Benefit Solutions. Options are available through Wishbone Pet Insurance and the Total Pet Plan discount plan.

TRICARE Supplemental Insurance
A TRICARE Supplemental Insurance Plan is voluntary insurance designed to supplement TRICARE to help with out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.
Eligible employees are military personnel who have TRICARE that are not active duty, not eligible for Medicare, and under the age of 65. This could include the following individuals:
- Military retirees
- Spouses and surviving spouses
- Retired reservists and national guardsmen
- Eligible dependent children
It pays eligible out-of-pocket expenses, after any applicable deductibles, as follows:
- Covers cost shares, copays, and excess charges
- Reimburses for all/most of your TRICARE deductible (depending on the type of TRICARE plan you have)
- Reimburses for prescription copays up to 100%
